One of the loves of my life since I was a little boy has been ancient Greek history and art. In every museum I look for collections of Greek remains. My favorites are sculpture and urns. The game I play with myself is to figure out what story the urn art is telling. Often they are races, myths, but most often wrestling.
With male models available to me at human image workshop I was pleased that one of the models is a martial arts instructor. He and I collaborated to have the two men pose in Greco-Roman wrestling positions to imitate the urn art. The models obviously were in agreement to wrestle nude just as the ancients did. That adds to the artistic value of the project as I envisioned it.
